Chief Executive Officer
Gregory Solometo serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Nannies of New York, which he founded in 2010. In this capacity, he has pulled together a leadership team to address the growing demand of young and expecting parents in the New York City area.
Greg also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Nursing Staffing of New York, Inc. (Alliance Nursing). In 2006, Greg co-founded Alliance Nursing with two lifelong friends who through personal and professional experience recognized the need for a higher standard of care in the home. Greg oversees the day-to-day operations and strategy for Alliance Nursing and is committed to providing patients with an elite and highly qualified team of healthcare professionals.
Nannies of New York and Alliance Nursing were created under the same philosophy and principles to achieve the platinum standard of excellence in healthcare and trust in the home.
Prior to starting both companies, Greg has worked primarily in the financial services industry. Most recently, he worked as a Lean Process Engineer at Deutsche Bank where he provided strategic consulting services to various divisions of the Investment Banking structure and its operations in the US and abroad.
Greg graduated from Emory University in 1995.
Greg was raised around the healthcare industry in a family who owned and operated a medical supply company. At an early age, he was taught the importance of client care and customer satisfaction which was needed to excel in the healthcare business. Greg looks forward to providing the same premium level of professionalism and service he was taught his entire life.
Chief Operating Officer
Joseph Verdirame is the Chief Operating Officer of Nannies of New York. Joseph is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and improving and refining internal operational systems, policies, procedures, and protocols. Joseph also serves as the Director of Operations for Alliance Nursing Staffing of New York, Inc. In this capacity, Joseph is creating and leading all organizational initiatives that contribute to the company’s short and long-term operational excellence.
Prior to his role at Nannies of New York and over the past 12 years, Joseph specialized in the acquisition, management and turn-around of businesses in the online, entertainment, retail, real estate and wholesale distribution sectors. In this capacity, Joseph was responsible for identifying and valuing business opportunities, acquiring distressed assets and restructuring and operating those acquired assets profitably. Joseph also provided strategic consulting services through his firm, JNV Advisors, for companies ranging in size from start-ups to large private corporations. During this time, Joseph demonstrated his expertise in preparing comprehensive business plans and budgets, creating financial projections and managing cash flow, as well as building a track-record as a “turn-around specialist,” leading teams, increasing productivity, achieving organizational efficiencies and generating significant returns on investment.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Joseph spent 7 years as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. During his tenure, he worked both domestically and internationally in various product and industry groups, including Acquisition Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Syndicated Finance, Media & Telecom and Healthcare. Joseph assisted in the origination, underwriting and syndication of multi-million dollar bank loans and led and participated in various international transactions, including analysis of refinancing and restructuring of debt obligations, during residences in Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Vice President of Family Services
Lisa Harrelson serves as Vice President of Family Services for Nannies of New York and is the key point of contact for families throughout the entire placement process. Lisa is primarily responsible for consulting with families on their staffing needs and, through an active dialogue, reaching creative and practical solutions to meet those needs. Lisa also serves as the main point of contact for all of our nannies and baby nurses throughout the entire placement process.
Although Lisa wears multiple hats, she spends most of her time gathering the details of each position, confirming nanny requirements and answering any questions families and nannies may have about working with Nannies of New York.
Lisa has been a Lifestyle Manager for high profile and ultra high profile families for ten years. Her clients have included high profile families in Saudi Arabia, China, Dubai, Europe and the U.S. Her prior career experience includes 16 years in corporate human resources, including 8 years as a recruiting manager for Ralph Lauren.
Brittany Fuller serves as placement specialist for Nannies of New York. She began working with children first in a classroom as a preschool teacher in her home town of San Diego, California. Soon after she became a nanny. While nannying Brittany obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science while also volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a non-profit called Voices for Children. Brittany’s love for helping children and families only grew and she decided to further her education with a masters degree in community practice social work from Baylor University.
While there she worked with children of all ages and challenges, including ASD, ODD and ADHD. Upon graduating Brittany moved to New York City where she worked as a nanny for a high profile family in addition to doing freelance work as an Early Childhood Education Consultant. Brittany’s love for children and families is what makes her role as our placement specialist so fitting. The first hand experience she brings to the table as a nanny and childcare provider allows Brittany to understand the unique nanny-family relationship most likely to be successful.
Her commitment to our families and nannies is unwavering and her enthusiasm is refreshing. It is clear that Brittany loves what she does.
